In this section you will find the information needed to recreate the WWII British PT Uniform. This is a required uniform for the Wiltshire Regiment of Arizona Reenactment Group
PT Uniform
PT Was an important part of life in the British Army. As such every soldier was issued a PT uniform. The Wiltshire Regiment of Arizona will not be expecting every memebr to pass a PT test, nor do PT at events. However the PT uniform is a nice thing to invest in for relaxing in. After a day of hard fighting in wool uniforms the ability to downgrade to something more confortable is a welcome relief.
PT Shirt
The British Army had several styles of white shirt.
The first style being a common white t-shirt, these can be found at most big box stores in 3 packs.
The other style seen is a white t-shirt style with a button up collar.
Either style is acceptable, as well as being worn for PT these shirts are also worn under the collarless undershirt
PT Shorts
The British Army PT Shorts were a simple blue style short with an elastic waistband, or draw string.
They were made of a khaki style material.
Occasionally pictures are seen of soldiers wearing a khaki colored PT Short.
These shorts can be purchased from What Price Glory
PT Shoes / Plimsolls
The British Army issues its soldiers a brown cnavas and rubber shoe called a Plimsoll.
These shoes were worn for PT, when relaxing in camp, or on campaign when not at the front.
In rare occasions they would be worn on patrol or by commandos
After a day of reenacting in the Ammo boots, these shoes bring welcome relief to relax in when at camp
These shoes can be purchased from What Price Glory
